WTF: April 2008, The Winners!

The answer to the WhatTheFont Type Contest is: BigVesta Bold by Dutch Type Designer Gerard Unger, born at Arnhem, the Netherlands, he studied graphic design and typography and type design in 1963 at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In 1984 Gerard Unger was awarded the H.N.Werkman-prize for all his typographic work. He has designed over 20 typefaces which are used for many purposes.

    Great competition and a wonderful prize.
    My only suggestion would be not to publish the list of incorrect entries—might be a little embarrassing for those involved.

    Hi Brian, thank you for your comment. As you might have seen, the difference between Vesta and BigVesta are small. At the end of the competition there where 50/50 Vesta and BigVesta answers therefore I’ve decided to give away two prizes.
