Wow. There are hundreds of better designed "comic style" typefaces out there if you are designing a comic book. The only thing comic sans is good for is people with Dyslexia find it easier to read blocks of text in it because of its hand-written quality. Any thoughts? If that's true, the choice of "websafe" faces is expanded tremendously. Check out the font "Arimo"--it has more even look, a slightly more pronounced bold (good), and the counters don't fill in as much as Arial.
