You can instantly see, for instance, why Garamond or Bembo goes with Helvetica as it's body copy, but not something close to Helvetica, like Myriad. You don't need a zillion fonts to create some very distinguished looks - you do need a good set of basic typefaces though. This app helps you work through that a little.
